When are worship services at St. James?

St. James offers two worship services on Sunday mornings:

The Open Table Service at 8:30 am in the Fellowship Hall is an informal, intimate, and interactive worship experience led by our Praise Team.

The Traditional Service at 10:30 am in the Fellowship Hall is a warm, comfortable, and engaging worship service, incorporating liturgy, sermon, hymns, choral music as well as instrumental music.

What should I wear?

Most people will dress in business casual or casual clothes at the Open Table service and more formally at the traditional service.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in the parking lots on either side of our building. If you are attending the Open Table service, it is easiest to park in the lot at the corner of N. Lanford Road and St. James Street. If you are attending the Traditional service, you can park in the larger lot on Savoy Street. Click for a map

May I take Communion?

All are welcome to take communion at St. James. The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ's love and seeks to lead a new life of peace and love. Children are encouraged to participate in communion with their parent’s guidance. We most often use a communion styles, called intinction, which means dipping the bread into the cup before eating.

We provide weekly programs as well as special events that are geared toward kids of all ages. Check out our Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry pages to learn more.
